Explorers

Explorers are the fifth section of the Scouting movement from age 14 onwards. Right from the time of Baden-Powell, there have been arrangements for young people who wanted to continue after their time in the Scout Section, and in 1967, Venture Scouts were formed from the existing Senior Scout and Rover Scout Sections. Wrenthorpe Scout Group hosts the Landvaettir Unit of Wakefield District Explorer Scouts. Explorers know their own mind, but work as a team to take on the challenges of life head on.

There are lots of options open to explorer scouts to discover leadership opportunities and decide their own path as they step out into the world with confident independence.
