A huge thank you to Alpkit for awarding us a grant of £200 to support us to make our neurodiverse scouting members more comfortable on camp. Following consultation with parents about what things their children find difficult about nights away they recommended rechargeable lanterns to help our members settle at night on camps and when we are walking outdoors at night. These are benefitting not only our neurodiverse members but everyone else as well! The lanterns are already being put to good use by our scouts on Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions and also our Explorers who have recently been enjoying some chill-out campfire nights as they head towards their exams.
