Beaver Scouts are young people usually aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the second section in the Scouting family, after the youngest section – Squirrels. Young people can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday. They can move to the next Section, Cub Scouts, between seven years and six months and eight years six months. Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others.
Through awards and badges, our Beavers learn new things, visit new places, and go on exciting nights away and sleepovers as they take their first steps on their scouting journey.
Our Beaver Scout Colony meets every Wednesday (except during school holidays) between 6.00pm and 7.00pm at St. Anne’s Church Hall. For an informal chat about joining Beavers call leader Gwen Fowler, 07403 639190 or email gwynnethfowler@yahoo.co.uk
